Omukunja Atasera Declares War on Overrated Ugandan Artists, Puts More Focus on Alien Skin

Omukunja Atasera Declares War on Overrated Ugandan Artists, Puts More Focus on Alien Skin
Controversial figure Omukunja Atasera has stirred debate in Uganda’s music scene after openly criticizing what he calls “overrated” musicians.

He claims his mission is to push out artists he believes lack real talent and instead promote underrated but gifted performers.

Atasera specifically targeted popular singer Alien Skin, the leader of Fangone Forest, arguing that despite his fame, he does not deserve a place in the music industry.

In a bold statement, Atasera was quoted saying, “They are not musicians, they are just disturbers,” insisting that the industry needs a reset to favor true talent.

However, critics have questioned Atasera’s motives, suggesting he may be seeking public attention, especially as some have also criticized his own music quality.

The situation quickly escalated into a serious conflict between Atasera and members of the Fangone Forest camp.

Tensions reportedly turned violent when individuals linked to the group allegedly attacked and damaged Atasera’s home.

In retaliation, Atasera is said to have taken control of Alien Skin’s bar, Drink and Drive, located in Kampala.

Despite the ongoing chaos, Atasera appeared in an interview on Sanyuka TV, where he continued to defend his stance, maintaining that his goal is to clean up the industry and give a platform to genuinely talented artists.

The conflict continues to draw attention, raising concerns about the growing tensions within Uganda’s entertainment industry.
