UACE 2025 Results Performance, Over 113,000 Candidates Qualify for University Admission

UACE 2025 Results Performance, Over 113,000 Candidates Qualify for University Admission
More than 113,000 candidates who sat for the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations have qualified for university admission, according to results released by the Uganda National Examinations Board.

The results were presented by UNEB Executive Director Dan Odongo, who highlighted the overall performance of candidates who completed their Advanced Level studies across the country.

According to the examination body, a total of 166,000+ students registered for the 2025 UACE examinations from various examination centers across Uganda.

Out of these, over 113,000 candidates obtained the required two principal passes needed to qualify for admission to universities and other higher institutions of learning.

Education officials noted that the results show continued improvement in several subjects, particularly in science-related courses that are increasingly being encouraged within the countrys education system.

The UACE examinations represent the final stage of secondary education in Uganda and play a crucial role in determining whether students can progress to universities, tertiary institutions, or other professional training programs.

Officials from UNEB also commended teachers, school administrators, and parents for supporting students throughout their academic journey.

At the same time, they encouraged learners to continue focusing on academic discipline and hard work in order to maintain strong performance in future examinations.

With the release of the results, successful candidates are now expected to begin preparing applications for university admission and other higher education opportunities in the coming months.
