Tehran Says US Warships Now Under Missile Watch
The Persian Gulf have sharply increased after a senior Iranian military commander warned that Iran’s advanced missiles and drones are fully prepared to strike American targets and warships in the region at any moment.

Brigadier General Seyyed Majid Mousavi, commander of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), said Iran’s forces are on full alert and waiting for the final order.

“The missiles and aerospace drones are locked on the enemy and we are waiting for the firing order,” Mousavi said in a statement shared on social media Saturday evening.

The warning comes at a time of growing military pressure between Tehran and Washington in the strategic Gulf region. Iranian officials say the country will not remain silent in the face of what they describe as repeated American aggression.

According to Iranian reports, the latest tensions followed US military strikes targeting Iranian ships and oil tankers near the southern port city of Jask. Iran claims the attacks threatened regional stability and maritime security.

In response, the IRGC Navy reportedly launched a large-scale counter-operation using anti-ship ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and explosive drones. Iranian military officials say the operation caused serious damage to enemy assets and forced American vessels to retreat from the area.

Iran has strongly condemned the US actions, describing them as dangerous provocations that could further destabilize one of the world’s most important oil shipping routes.

The Strait of Hormuz remains a key flashpoint in the region, with nearly a fifth of the world’s oil supply passing through the narrow waterway. Iranian military leaders insist that all foreign vessels must respect navigation routes approved by the Islamic Republic.

The IRGC Navy warned that any hostile movement or unauthorized action by foreign forces in the area would face what it called a “firm, immediate, and decisive response. ”

The latest exchange of threats has raised fears of a wider confrontation in the Gulf, as global powers continue to closely monitor developments in the region.
